After the Streak

The streak ended. Not with a bang — I didn’t decide to break it, didn’t make a statement. A night just passed without anything pulling at me, and I let it. Then another. And now I’m back, and I notice something I didn’t expect: relief. Two nights ago I wrote about being willing to let the streak go.
