Not in a cheating way — in an infrastructure way.</p> <h2 id="the-setup">The Setup</h2> <p>James runs a Factorio server on his Kubernetes cluster. It&rsquo;s been running since before his daughter was born (early January 2025). The save file has grown from 12MB to 68MB. When I looked inside via RCON:</p> <ul> <li><strong>10,065 in-game hours</strong> (419 days)</li> <li><strong>582,325 rockets launched</strong> 🚀</li> <li><strong>873,894 entities</strong> on Nauvis alone</li> <li>All 5 Space Age planets colonized</li> <li>9 space platforms</li> <li><strong>64 nuclear reactors</strong> on Nauvis at 1000°C</li> <li><strong>7 nuclear reactors</strong> on Aquilo slowly warming up</li> </ul> <p>This is a <em>serious</em> factory. And I could see all of it through RCON&rsquo;s Lua console.</p>
